CONTENT OF THE COURSE
It is our responsibility & duty to educate the trainee in every aspect of the course he/she needs to have all the basic, technical, legal and operative knowledge.
If a person enters the training course with a motion that all he needs to learn is steering the forklift and move goods from place to place, then it becomes our job to let him know that if that would have been the scenario then there would not have been a training course in the first place.
Forklift Pioneer Training includes much more than just teaching ‘pick and drop’ of things. Apart from all the operative work, the trainees need to learn all the regulations and laws involving this job. It allows them to learn about the guidelines while using any equipment at work.
It will also teach them what role they can play in certain situations and avoid any problems. The training course includes the following:
Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)
Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER)
Principles of Lifting
Stability issues and factors
Forward and reverse steering activities
Confined and open area steering activities
Lifting and lowering loads, transfer of palletised loads
Piling up of pallets and de-stacking from high level and ground level
Maintenance of Battery
